Welcome to Yoga
"Balance is not something you find, it's something you create."

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic and fluid style of yoga where movements are linked together in a continuous flow, synchronized with the breath. It's often called "flow yoga" because of this seamless movement from one pose to the next. Vinyasa yoga emphasizes both physical and mental awareness, encouraging practitioners to connect with their breath and body in a mindful way.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on holding poses for extended periods, typically 3-5 minutes, to target deeper connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and tendons.Unlike yang yoga, which emphasizes muscle strength and dynamic movements, yin yoga encourages a more meditative and passive approach to stretching. The practice aims to release tension in the body, improve flexibility, and promote relaxation by focusing on finding one's "edge" within each pose and holding it for time.

My Story

My name is Jen Wanlin, welcome to Yoga!  I began practicing yoga on and off many years ago.  My practice became stronger during the pandemic, and recently I decided to become certified through Yoga Renew.  Yoga is an ongoing practice and I continue to learn every day through my own practice, web based training, and in person workshops.  I have a passion for creating balance and mindfulness and specialize in Vinyasa and Yin yoga.  I offer dynamic, fluid sequences and deep restorative practices.  My teaching philosophy focuses on fostering strength, flexibility, and relaxation while guiding students to connect with their breath and find stillness in the present moment.  I am committed to helping students of all levels cultivate a deeper sense of awareness both on and off the mat.
